We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Lead to join our team at HDR, a leading engineering firm. As a Geotechnical Lead, you will be responsible for leading and managing complex geotechnical engineering analysis and design of water management structures within our growing dam, levee, and civil works program.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage geotechnical engineering analysis and design of water management structures
- Develop and implement geotechnical design solutions for complex projects
- Provide project management and mentoring to a team of engineers and analysts
- Collaborate with multi-discipline teams, including structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, and hydraulic engineering
- Master of Science or higher in Engineering (Geotechnical/Geologic engineering) or equivalent level of experience
- 15+ years of progressive experience in advanced engineering projects involving water management, structural, geotechnical, and hydraulic disciplines
- Proficient knowledge of dam safety engineering and risk assessment tools and techniques
- Experience with geotechnical engineering software and static and dynamic analyses for concrete dams, embankments, and hydraulic structures
