Job Summary

Denver Health is seeking a highly skilled Enrollment Specialist II to join our team. As a key member of our enrollment team, you will play a critical role in determining medical assistance eligibility for patients and clients in various settings, including hospital outpatient and inpatient, emergency settings, and call centers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interview patients and clients to determine living and financial situations, calculate applicable income and assets, and determine eligibility for medical assistance programs.
  • Clearly explain medical assistance programs to patients and clients and assist them in completing necessary forms to apply for these programs.
  • Identify, research, and resolve complex problems related to eligibility determinations for various medical assistance programs.
  • Effectively and accurately follow established work procedures and guidelines to efficiently process Medicaid case maintenance and redetermination processes.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1-3 years of related experience required.
  • Knowledge of medical and public assistance programs, including Medicaid, CHP+, CICP, DFAP, and Connect of Health Colorado health plans.
  • Knowledge of federal and Colorado statutes, legislative initiatives, and regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Skilled in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and process improvement.
