Job Summary

Denver Health is seeking a highly motivated Enrollment Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Enrollment Services department, you will play a critical role in determining medical assistance eligibility for patients and clients in various settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct interviews with patients and clients to determine living and financial situations, calculate applicable income and assets, and determine eligibility for medical assistance programs.
  • Clearly explain medical assistance programs to patients and clients and assist them in completing necessary forms to apply for these programs.
  • Identify, research, and resolve complex problems related to eligibility determinations for various medical assistance programs.
  • Effectively and accurately follow established work procedures and guidelines to be efficient in Medicaid case maintenance and redetermination processes.
  • Collect data utilizing various tracking tools to monitor performance.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1-3 years of related experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of medical and/or public assistance programs, including Medicaid, CHP+, CICP, DFAP, and Connect of Health Colorado health plans.
  • Knowledge of federal and Colorado statutes, legislative initiatives, and regulations, as well as federal, state, and local policies.
  • Knowledge of the eligibility determination system CBMS, Epic, Salesforce, Five9 systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Skilled in analytical thinking, problem solving, and process improvement.
  • Skilled in providing excellent customer service.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a thorough, clear, and professional manner.
  • Ability to simultaneously coordinate and manage several functions, programs, and tasks in various stages of completion.
  • Ability to consistently implement program, department, and organizational policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and in a team environment.
