Job Summary

Denver Health is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Enrollment Specialist to join our team. As an Enrollment Specialist, you will play a critical role in determining medical assistance eligibility for patients and clients in various settings, including hospital outpatient and inpatient, emergency settings, and face-to-face and call center environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine medical assistance eligibility for patients and clients, utilizing knowledge of federal and Colorado statutes, legislative initiatives, and regulations.
  • Assist patients and clients with submitting and processing documentation to complete applications and forms for various medical assistance programs.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners, including State entities, other departments, and community organizations, to ensure accurate and efficient eligibility determinations.
  • Complete accurate data entry into multiple Federal, State, and internal systems.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1-3 years of related experience required.
  • Knowledge of medical and/or public assistance programs, including Medicaid, CHP+, CICP, DFAP, and Connect of Health Colorado health plans.
  • Knowledge of the eligibility determination system CBMS, Epic, Salesforce, and Five9 systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Skilled in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and process improvement.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a thorough, clear, and professional manner.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and in a team environment.
