We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Development Director to join our team at The Hartford. This is a critical business role that requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as a deep understanding of the insurance industry.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the Liability Line of Business suite of products for our E&S Binding unit, including overall growth and profit metrics.
- Develop and implement product development strategies, forms maintenance, and market analysis.
- Lead cross-functional teams on multi-year projects, including coordination with E&S Actuarial, Claims, Actuarial Reserving, Compliance, Legal, and Quality.
- Drive complex analysis of data to design and implement solutions to complex problems, and make recommendations and decisions for sustained long-term success.
- Present to Leadership with compelling storylines and command of materials.
- Minimum 4-year degree and 5+ years of relevant experience in Commercial Lines.
- Preferred: insurance designations, 7+ years prior relevant work experience including E&S and CL product, pricing, underwriting, and/or coverage.
- Advanced usage of Microsoft Office products, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated critical thinking on complex business problems.
- Proven ability to influence broad groups of stakeholders, including senior leaders.

This role can be performed in either a hybrid or remote work arrangement. The listed annualized base pay range is $140,240 - $210,360, and other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition.
