Educational Background
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or 7+ years of equivalent professional experience.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Windows Server administration (Server OS - 2012, 2016, 2019, and Windows 10/11).
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) / Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM).
  • Proficient in Windows Active Directory infrastructure (both Unclassified & Classified).
  • Expertise in User/Group administration within Active Directory.
  • Strong understanding of Windows DNS and DHCP.
  • Hands-on experience with current branch MS Endpoint Management in a distributed setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of DoD patch management and vulnerability remediation processes and tools.
  • Experience with VMware and Hyper-V hypervisors.
  • Familiarity with Veritas Backup solutions.
  • Experience with various client hardware, including HP and Dell laptops and desktops.
  • Proficient in PowerShell scripting.
  • Ability to execute proof-of-concept methodologies.
  • Experience collaborating effectively within a team environment.
  • Proven track record of managing corporate projects from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine maintenance of network and systems infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement procedures to ensure team competency in supporting corporate infrastructure, including backend systems and VPN networks.
  • Lead tasks associated with the design, build, implementation, and administration of the On-Premises environment.
  • Collaborate with IT management and business leaders to deliver server administration tasks within defined timeframes.
  • Monitor and analyze server performance, recommending solutions for current and future performance challenges.
  • Perform OS hardening to meet required security standards.
  • Support vulnerability remediation activities in the server environment as directed by the security team, providing implementation plans as necessary.
  • Enforce IT security policies, standards, and practices.
  • Assist with incident resolution and escalations.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills, presenting complex technical topics to diverse audiences.
  • Document system changes in accordance with company change management policies.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for processes and new features to promote standardization.
  • Collaborate with IT staff across various teams to facilitate effective issue resolution.
  • Monitor and support license compliance and renewal activities for the server environment.
  • Propose and implement enhancements to the operational environment.
