Position Overview:

The Plumbing Manager will oversee the plumbing team, ensuring the delivery of top-notch sales, service, repair, and installation to our valued customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the plumbing team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Establish and maintain operational policies, procedures, and budgets for the department.
  • Collaborate with contractors, homeowners, and project managers to assess service needs and maintain positive customer relationships.
  • Optimize workload and scheduling to enhance productivity and profitability.
  • Address customer concerns and complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction.
  • Manage inventory and ensure timely procurement of materials and equipment for scheduled jobs.
  • Set pricing structures and review proposals with estimators as necessary.
  • Monitor job sites to ensure quality control and technician efficiency.
  • Generate operational reports and maintain records of inventory, tools, and vehicles.
  • Provide guidance on proper material usage and quality workmanship.
  • Maintain communication with service technicians and installation teams to support their needs.
  • Review payroll to ensure accurate compensation for technicians.
  • Assist in dispatch operations to ensure appropriate technician assignments.
  • Conduct job site evaluations and ensure completion of documentation.
  • Facilitate inspections and oversee the permitting process.
  • Assist in managing accounts receivable as needed.
  • Complete necessary accident and property damage reports and investigate claims.
  • Ensure employees have the required tools and that they are well-maintained.
  • Evaluate fleet and equipment for functionality and oversee preventive maintenance.
  • Assess training needs and provide on-the-job training to staff.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance to protect company assets.
  • Manage plumbing service operations effectively.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Adhere to all guidelines for quality assurance and service policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma required, with 3-5 years of management experience.
  • Relevant experience or advanced training may be considered.
  • Familiarity with the permitting process in the Kansas City Metro area.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards.
  • Excellent supervisory, computer, and mathematical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
