Position Overview:
As the MEP Operations Manager, you will oversee and guide the preconstruction, engineering, and field installation of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems.

Reports to: Project Manager, Project Executive

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and nurture relationships with engineers, design consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and owner's representatives to ensure alignment with client objectives throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of contract documents, including plans, specifications, and applicable codes.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Turner MEP team, providing input on performance evaluations.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the MEP engineering team and subordinates.
  • Manage MEP procurement, project budgets, quality assurance, safety protocols, engineering coordination, scheduling, installation, commissioning, and project close-out processes.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in the design, cost management, sequencing, logistics, and field installations of Mechanical and Electrical systems or an equivalent combination of training and experience. You should be adept at identifying design features that incur additional costs and suggesting alternatives that maintain or enhance functionality. Strong presentation skills for technical material are essential. LEED accreditation is preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with project management and scheduling software is desirable. You should demonstrate leadership and interpersonal skills.
