Position Overview

The Event Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all banquet activities and providing leadership to the event staff. This role focuses on ensuring customer satisfaction, maintaining high service standards, adhering to corporate policies, and achieving financial objectives. The supervisor will also manage the daily operations of the banquet facilities, ensuring that all dining arrangements, food, and beverages are prepared in advance of events. Post-event responsibilities include overseeing the breakdown and cleanup process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Food & Beverage Teams to review banquet event orders for upcoming functions.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, management, and team members to ensure that room setups, equipment, supplies, menus, and staffing align with client expectations.
  • Organize daily workflows to guarantee high-quality service for all events.
  • Monitor banquet operations to identify and resolve any operational issues while ensuring compliance with safety and security standards.
  • Engage in special projects and committees as required.
Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of basic banquet operations.
  • Exceptional customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities, capable of working independently.
  • Proven leadership skills in a team environment.
  • Basic familiarity with audiovisual equipment.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse personalities in a professional and resourceful manner.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Capability to perform all room setups.
  • Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Willingness to work shifts exceeding 8 hours.
