Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team in managing studies in Heart Failure and Adult Congenital Heart Disease Programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for initiating, coordinating, and managing research studies conducted at the Medical Center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage study budgets, monitor expenses, and recommend staffing levels based on reviewed protocols.
  • Prepare and submit necessary documents to the NYU Institutional Board (IRB) and NYU Office of Clinical Trials for approval to conduct human subjects research.
  • Oversee the recruitment process, including screening potential patients/subjects for eligibility, gathering information from medical records, and scheduling visits.
  • Prepare progress reports to funding agencies and presentations to sponsoring and regulatory agencies.
  • Manage and oversee trial start-up activities, including preparing and submitting necessary documents to the IRB and NYU Office of Clinical Trials.
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure the accurate execution of research protocols in accordance with Good Clinical Practices, HIPAA, and required obligations to patient/subject, Principal Investigator, research team, and sponsor.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of five years of progressively responsible related experience coordinating clinical/research trials studies.
  • Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with Internet applications and effective oral, written, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and work and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently and make decisions autonomously.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) Certification.
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
  • Project management experience and supervisory experience.
