Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Emerging General Manager I to join our team at Walmart. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the financial operations of our facility, analyzing and approving staffing plans, and leading our management team to achieve business goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the facility's financial operations, including authorizing and managing expenditures, monitoring asset use, and generating business reports.
  • Analyze and approve projected staffing plans to ensure they meet business goals for workload and performance results.
  • Participate in local and community organizations and philanthropic activities, advocating for company-sponsored programs and events.
  • Investigate and address associate, customer, and supplier issues, making judgments based on available information or consulting with others.
  • Lead and direct the facility's management team, establishing direction, communicating goals, monitoring performance, and providing feedback.
  • Develop, plan, and manage the facility's business plan to achieve facility goals and identify potential for continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement processes to monitor and assure compliance with Supply Chain and corporate quality and safety standards.
  • Foster strong partnerships and relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field (e.g., Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Production/Operations Management).
  • 3 years experience in a senior management role within an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors.
  • Experience managing workload, participating in the hiring and promotion of employees, and developing budgets and financial plans.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain, Transportation and Logistics Management through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
  • 4 years experience as a general manager with total facility responsibility in an operations/distribution/logistics environment.
  • Experience developing and managing budgets, managing P&L, developing manpower forecasts, monitoring regulatory compliance, and analyzing financial/operational data.
