Position Overview:

In collaboration with the Emergency Department nurse manager and director, this role is pivotal in the development, organization, implementation, and assessment of comprehensive services within the Emergency Department. The RN Supervisor will effectively oversee the activities of ED technicians and nursing staff, prioritizing patient safety and satisfaction. Responsibilities include managing daily staffing needs, providing leadership in clinical problem-solving, and ensuring efficient patient flow throughout the department. The supervisor will also participate in recruitment, orientation, and retention of staff, while delivering necessary educational support. Additionally, this role involves the interpretation and implementation of departmental and hospital policies, as well as adherence to regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as an ER RN.
  • Required Education: Graduate of an accredited RN program.
  • Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
