Position Overview:
Under the guidance of the Emergency Department (ED) nurse manager and director, the RN Supervisor plays a crucial role in the development, organization, implementation, and assessment of services provided in the Emergency Department. This position is responsible for effectively overseeing ED technicians and nursing staff in delivering patient care, with a strong emphasis on patient safety and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily operations and staffing requirements within the Emergency Department.
- Provide leadership in clinical problem-solving and manage patient flow efficiently.
- Participate in the recruitment, orientation, and retention of staff, while offering necessary educational support.
- Implement and uphold departmental and hospital policies, as well as regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as an ER RN.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited RN program; BSN preferred.
- Certifications: BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
