Ophthalmology Department Supervisor

As a key member of the Geisinger Ophthalmology team, the Ophthalmology Technician Team Lead plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinical services. This leadership position requires a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate and guide a team of support staff.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate training and orientation programs for clinical staff
- Assess ongoing training needs and provide feedback
- Serve as a resource for answering questions and resolving problems
- Monitor performance and provide guidance for improvement
- Intercede on behalf of assigned personnel when issues arise with physicians, patients, or other clinic personnel
- Evaluate clinic flow and recommend changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Assist with staffing plans and provide clinical or diagnostic support services as needed
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
- Minimum of 3 years of related work experience
- Certification(s) and License(s) as required by the state of Pennsylvania
