Xanitos is seeking a Full-Time Lead Environmental Services (EVS) Hospital Housekeeper for the second shift. This role is vital in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene standards of healthcare environments.


Work Schedule:
3:30 PM to 12:00 AM Midnight

Key Responsibilities:
As a Lead Housekeeper, you will:
  • Support frontline EVS staff in their daily tasks.
  • Facilitate smooth shift transitions.
  • Assist with various housekeeping processes and procedures.
  • Perform cleaning and polishing of lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
  • Maintain cleanliness in rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms.
  • Conduct sweeping and vacuuming of floors.
  • Dust furniture and equipment regularly.
  • Polish metal fixtures.
  • Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
  • Empty wastebaskets and transport trash to disposal areas.
  • Replenish bathroom supplies as needed.
  • Transport small equipment or tools between departments.

Qualifications:
Applicants should possess:
  • Experience in the janitorial field is advantageous.
  • Experience in medical cleaning is a plus.
  • Completion of a post-offer medical examination, background screening, and drug testing is required.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is mandatory.

Physical Requirements:


The physical demands for this position include:

  • Regularly standing, walking, and using hands for various tasks.
  • Frequent climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses.
  • Possible exposure to chemicals requiring special clothing or safety equipment.

Work Environment:


The work environment may include:

  • Regular exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
  • Occasional work near moving mechanical parts.
  • Generally quiet noise levels.
