Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the lead tooling engineer to refurbish and reconstruct molds Perform cleaning and upkeep of molds through preventative maintenance, including disassembly and reassembly for component cleaning Utilize tools and techniques such as calipers, micrometers, and indicators for troubleshooting or measuring molds and their components Diagnose mold issues, replace components, and ensure operational efficiency Address electrical problems in molds, mold controllers, and hot runners, including some wiring and hot runner tip adjustments Install and remove injection molds from molding machines Manage inventory by tracking molds and parts, and ordering necessary supplies for the department Update and maintain the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system

Required qualifications:

High school diploma with additional post-secondary education preferred Experience with high cavitation hot runner molds; wiring experience is a plus Proficient in setting and starting molds in presses, with experience in Van Dorn, Husky, and Cincinnati machines being advantageous Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electrical issues with hot runner molds Ability to interpret mold design prints Strong mathematical and analytical skills Solid mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities Proficient in using mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic tools for maintenance tasks Computer literacy is highly valued Effective communication skills, including oral, written, and listening abilities in English
