Job Summary

In this role, you will oversee all aspects of injection molding machinery and associated support systems.

Responsibilities:


Ensure the safety of the maintenance team through active participation in safety initiatives and clear communication of safe work practices.

Develop and maintain a preventive maintenance schedule for all production equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair production machinery as necessary.
Train and supervise all maintenance technicians.
Coordinate and execute machine relocations, upgrades, and installations.
Manage operations within budget constraints.
Monitor and enhance machine efficiency and uptime to meet production and budgetary goals.
Conduct interviews, hiring, training, and supervision of maintenance personnel in collaboration with group leaders.
Maintain records of repairs and preventive maintenance as required by ISO standards.
Ensure timely completion of all work orders.
Collaborate with molding and tooling departments for mold and stacker setups.
Engage with vendors to negotiate pricing and delivery of repair parts.
Track and report cost savings related to utilities and maintenance.
Recommend and oversee the implementation of technological improvements for increased output and reduced operating costs.
Participate in staff meetings and present maintenance data as required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Responsible for hiring, training, planning, assigning tasks, conducting performance evaluations, addressing complaints, and resolving issues for all maintenance personnel.


Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
A high school diploma or GED is required. A one-year certificate from a college or technical school, or three to six months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.

Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret safety regulations, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Proficient in writing routine reports and correspondence. Capable of effectively communicating with groups of employees.

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and geometry. Capable of applying concepts like fractions, percentages, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Capable of interpreting a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
