Position Summary:

The Unit Supervisor plays a pivotal role in exemplifying Everstand's core principles while fostering a Trauma-Informed Environment. This position is knowledgeable in Everstand's Theory of Change and actively applies organizational policies and protocols to ensure a secure and supportive treatment atmosphere. The Unit Supervisor collaborates effectively as a leader within the interdisciplinary team, offering guidance and assistance to Youth Care Professionals.

Benefits Overview:

  • Starting salary for a Unit Supervisor is $50,382, with increases based on experience.

  • Learn and apply evidence-based practices as determined by the organization, which may involve attending training sessions and adhering to practice guidelines.
  • Contribute to the prevention and management of challenging behaviors by utilizing Everstand's behavior management and therapeutic crisis intervention strategies.
  • Facilitate effective communication through timely documentation and participation in weekly team meetings.
  • Serve on the Interdisciplinary Care Team for each youth and collaborate with various internal and external partners.
  • Provide transportation for residents as needed.
  • On a rotating basis, ensure effective campus supervision by fulfilling supervisory duties at least once a week, which may include overnight and/or weekend shifts.
  • Develop individualized daily structures tailored to meet the unique needs of a high-acuity population, consistent with the age and functioning level of each resident.
  • Promote life skills programming to assist youth in achieving stabilization and self-regulation as a primary goal.
  • Incorporate a variety of evidence-supported group modalities aimed at teaching youth essential relational, stress tolerance, and impulse control skills into the daily programming for the unit.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time role. The work schedule is Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday, comprising 8-hour shifts with a 30-minute lunch break. Each Supervisor is expected to work two late shifts from 2 PM to 10 PM, with remaining shifts varying between 11 AM to 7 PM and/or 10 AM to 6 PM. Flexibility in work hours is often required, including evenings and weekends at both on-site and off-site locations. Supervisors may be eligible for a flexible schedule with prior approval from a Treatment Team Manager or Program Director. This position is classified as essential staff for campus emergencies, including severe weather.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory or management experience.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in child welfare, working with children and/or adolescents.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Master's degree from an accredited institution.

Additional Requirements:

  • This position requires driving Everstand vehicles. A valid, active driver's license with fewer than 7 points is necessary.
