About the Role

Columbus Springs East, a leading healthcare organization, is seeking a skilled Clinical Assessment Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients presenting for treatment, ensuring accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with our clinical team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, addressing the unique needs of each patient.
  • Screen patients for medical and behavioral emergency conditions, providing timely interventions as needed.
  • Coordinate with external payers to ensure seamless admission and precertification processes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education and support to promote treatment adherence and positive outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a related field, with relevant licensure (LSW, LISW, LPC, LPCC, MFT, IMFT).
  • Current, unencumbered clinical social work or counseling license, or RN license (per state of practice guidelines).
  • Valid driver's license and a favorable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), along with proof of insurance when using personal vehicle.
  • Ability to meet typing keyboard expectations.
  • CPR and CPI certification within 30 days.
  • Prior experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility, working with adult and geriatric patients, is preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
