Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated individual to play a pivotal role in our Engineering department. This position involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at improving our automation processes and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design complex automation control systems, including robotics and vision systems, utilizing PLC, HMI, and modular codes.
  • Create comprehensive operations and maintenance manuals aligned with design specifications.
  • Engage in the installation, startup, and testing of machinery at client locations.
  • Oversee electrical and controls installation at customer sites as required.
  • Conduct machine testing, experiments, and debugging to confirm that designs meet project specifications.
  • Perform factory acceptance testing and document results thoroughly.
  • Manage project tasks within established timelines and budgets, with moderate supervision.
  • Maintain detailed technical records and documentation to support design and performance history.
  • Estimate time requirements for project tasks accurately.
  • Execute engineering tasks while adhering to budgetary and scheduling constraints.
  • Contribute to design reviews by providing technical insights to colleagues.
  • Adopt and promote AST's Continuous Improvement Process throughout the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
  • Strong understanding of industrial machinery specifications and standards.
  • Proficient in machine control system design and testing environments, with a solid electrical background.
  • Experienced with software tools such as Allen-Bradley PLC Platform, AutoCAD, and MS Office Suite.
  • Self-driven, energetic, and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic.
  • Possess a character that aligns with AST's commitment to integrity in all business dealings.
  • Expected travel of approximately 25% based on business needs.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.
  • Must be willing to undergo and pass a drug test.
