Compensation for onsite applicants is competitive, with a range of $90,000-$115,000 annually. All candidates are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and guide the service engineering team, providing mentorship and support to ensure exceptional service delivery.
  • Formulate and execute strategies to enhance service delivery processes, boost efficiency, and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with various teams to identify and resolve technical challenges, escalating issues as necessary to meet service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Conduct regular performance assessments, provide constructive feedback, and implement development plans to elevate team skills.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, offering technical guidance to team members in troubleshooting complex issues and executing solutions.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in service engineering, recommending innovative solutions to improve service delivery.
  • Utilize AutoCAD drafting software to produce detailed electrical schematics and layout components for panel construction.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in PLC ladder diagrams, sensors, pneumatics, mechanical assemblies, and other machinery-related components.
  • Engage in hands-on assembly and disassembly for equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Draft operations and maintenance manuals in alignment with design specifications and equipment.
  • Participate in the installation, startup, and testing of machinery at client facilities.
  • Assist in electrical and controls installation and supervision at client sites as required.
  • Conduct machine testing, experiments, and debugging activities to ensure designs meet project specifications reliably.
  • Execute factory acceptance testing with documented outcomes.
  • Document and manage projects and tasks within established timelines and budgets with moderate oversight.
  • Maintain technical records, test results, and documentation to support design and performance history.
  • Estimate the time required to complete tasks effectively.
  • Fulfill engineering responsibilities within budgetary and scheduling constraints.
  • Follow the directives of the Engineering Manager and Principal/Senior Engineers.
  • Embrace AST's commitment to Continuous Improvement across the organization.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% based on business needs.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in service engineering, including 2+ years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
  • Strong technical proficiency in Isolators and Automated Aseptic machinery.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and managing teams to achieve objectives and deliver high-quality service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the capability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
  • Robust problem-solving skills and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.

Eligibility Requirements:
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be willing to undergo and successfully pass a drug test.
