Compensation:

For onsite applicants, the annual compensation ranges from $80,000 to $110,000. We welcome all applicants to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop control systems for intricate automation, including robotics and vision systems, utilizing PLC, HMI, and other modular codes.
  • Create operations and maintenance manuals aligned with design specifications and equipment.
  • Formulate solutions and evaluate technical decisions with significant internal and external impact.
  • Take responsibility for the completion of assignments that influence product development, technology investment, customer relations, and strategic initiatives.
  • Engage in the installation, startup, and testing of machinery at client locations.
  • Oversee electrical and controls installation and supervision at client sites as required.
  • Conduct machine testing, experiments, and debugging to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Implement factory acceptance testing with documented outcomes.
  • Document and execute projects within established timelines and budgets with moderate oversight.
  • Maintain technical records, test results, and documentation supporting design and performance history.
  • Estimate hours required for task completion.
  • Fulfill engineering responsibilities within budgetary and scheduling constraints.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical insights to colleagues.
  • Embrace AST's Continuous Improvement Process across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an accredited electrical engineering program or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in common industrial programming languages, HMI design, industrial communications, smart machinery, AI/machine learning, and automation hardware/software.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%, as determined by company needs.
  • Understanding of industrial machinery specifications and standards.
  • Knowledge of machine control system design and testing environments with strong electrical expertise.
  • Proficient in software applications including Allen-Bradley PLC Platform, AutoCAD, and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • A collaborative team player who works effectively across departments to achieve organizational goals.
  • A strategic thinker who enjoys innovation and problem-solving, consistently seeking to identify root causes.
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and disciplined, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Character that aligns with AST's culture of integrity in all business activities.
