Major Gifts Coordinator

Join the Center for Reproductive Rights as a Major Gifts Coordinator and play a critical role in advancing reproductive rights globally.
Job SummaryThe Major Gifts Coordinator will provide administrative support and project coordination for fundraising efforts, working closely with the Events team and regional Gift Officers to secure sponsorships and event-related gifts. This role will be based in the Center's New York office and will require strong communication and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities- Build and manage fundraising trackers for signature and regional events.
- Coordinate and produce fundraising mailings and materials, including sponsorship requests.
- Serve as the point person for event donors and respond to their inquiries to facilitate their giving.
- Coordinate activities of local event host committees, including meeting planning and fundraising.
- Collaborate with the Events team to copy-edit names and addresses for event materials.
- Support post-event donor follow-up through email and mail merges, payment status tracking, invoicing, and pledge fulfillment.
- Maintain event data in the donor database, including updating records and tracking new solicitor relationships, actions, and donor cultivation activities.
- Assist with event reporting and post-event data analysis, including weekly internal fundraising reports and reports for local host committees.
- Prepare and ship event materials to local markets when necessary.
- Attend events and provide on-site support when necessary.
- Maintain team document libraries, including updating materials, mailing lists, and documents.
- Liaise with the operations team and other units and departments as needed.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience.
- Experience with fundraising and/or volunteer management.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility and ability to work professionally in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and other meeting platforms.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work independently, while also collaborating in a team setting.
- The ability to complete assignments in a timely manner, often under considerable time pressure, and to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Commitment to human rights, reproductive rights, and/or women's rights generally.
- Capacity to receive and accept constructive feedback.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
- Steadfast attention to detail.
- Ability to travel required.
- A Bachelor's degree is required.
- Health: The Center pays up to 95%* of the premium for a comprehensive health insurance plan with no in-network deductible and best-in-class reproductive healthcare coverage, including infertility. The Center also offers Dental and Vision coverage. (* % may differ in various countries)
- Flexibility: The Center currently operates in a hybrid model, allowing staff to work 3 days in the office and work 2 days from home

We are also closed the last week of December to allow staff to spend time with their loved ones.

- Investment: After the first year of employment, the Center will contribute 7.5%* of your annual salary to a 401(k) (* only applicable in US and Kenya)

FLSA Exempt Status: This is a non-exempt position.
Union Status: This position will be part of the CRR Union, a shop within Local 2110 United Auto Workers—Technical, Office, and Professional Workers Union.
