Job Overview

Position Summary:
As a Safety Coordinator at Seabrook Hospitality, you will play an essential role in ensuring a secure and safe atmosphere for guests, residents, and staff members. Under the guidance of management, your duties will encompass monitoring the premises, addressing incidents, and enforcing safety protocols during various activities. Your contribution will be pivotal in mitigating risks and damages, ensuring adherence to safety regulations, and enhancing the overall safety of the community.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct safety patrols throughout the property; oversee surveillance systems; inspect facilities, equipment, and access points; grant entry as needed.
  • Respond to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies; request assistance when necessary.
  • Mitigate losses and damages by documenting irregularities; inform violators of established policies; report trespassers and suspicious behaviors.
  • Manage traffic flow by setting up barriers and barricades for events.
  • Complete documentation by recording observations, incidents, and surveillance activities; interview witnesses; gather signatures.
  • Strictly adhere to health and safety regulations and be knowledgeable about company practices.
  • Proactively identify and address safety concerns, acting as a safety advocate within the organization.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish or other languages is advantageous.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently when necessary to fulfill the demands of the organization and ensure community safety.
  • Basic mathematical skills and the ability to apply reasoning to solve practical issues.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and open to learning new software systems.
  • First Aid and Basic Life Support certifications are preferred.

Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and proof of liability insurance.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • All candidates must successfully pass a background check prior to employment.

Physical Demands:

  • Work environment may include indoor and outdoor settings with varying conditions.
  • Regular exposure to fumes, dust, odors, heights, and loud sounds.
  • Driving may be required to perform job duties.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Stamina to provide Basic Life Support and First Aid until emergency personnel arrive.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods and walk moderate distances.

Compensation: $19.25 per hour
