Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome guests and manage check-in and check-out processes
  • Follow all cash handling and credit card procedures according to hotel and brand guidelines
  • Keep track of room availability and house count for the day
  • Review credit limit exceptions and seek additional approvals when necessary
  • Process checkouts or extend stays for expected departures
  • Update housekeeping room status based on information received from the housekeeping team
  • Reconcile department activities at the end of each shift based on daily reports
  • Conduct cashier shift changes after cash reconciliation
  • Inform guests about promotional offers and provide details upon request
  • Highlight hotel amenities such as complimentary breakfast, fitness center, and other services during interactions with guests
  • Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly; suggest alternative solutions when requests cannot be fulfilled
  • Exhibit a commitment to guest service through hospitality and adaptability
  • Document any guest incidents by completing the necessary report forms
  • Be willing to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Qualifications and Experience
  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • At least one year of experience in the hospitality field required
  • Background in customer service is essential
  • Proficient in cash handling and credit card processing
  • Strong attention to detail is necessary
  • Familiarity with hotel layout, available services, and operational procedures
  • Knowledge of local geography, businesses, major routes, and community events and attractions
