Position Overview
Reporting to the Director, the Clinical Services Supervisor plays a vital role in coordinating client services and case conferences. This position also involves providing direct supervision to a team of dedicated professionals, including case managers, housing specialists, and vocational specialists.
The ideal candidate possesses experience in mental health, child welfare, child development, or related fields. A strong understanding of psychodynamics, group work, casework, health systems, and human and child development is essential. Experience working with domestic violence and an understanding of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and trauma-informed care are highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough interviews with potential residents using established casework techniques to assess their suitability for residential services. Evaluate their psychological functioning and make informed admissions decisions.
- Perform initial assessments on all new residents and assign them to appropriate case managers. Determine the best course of action based on individual needs.
- Make counseling-related referrals and act as a liaison between clients and mental health agencies as needed.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with service providers to ensure seamless client care.
- Represent the program at community task force meetings and conferences, advocating for our clients and services.
- Prepare comprehensive client referral reports for supportive service providers. Monitor and evaluate client progress records diligently.
- Provide clinical supervision to staff members and conduct chart audits to ensure timely and accurate completion of client notes.
- Step in as the program supervisor in the Director's absence, maintaining smooth operations.
- Actively participate in all scheduled meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills by effectively reading and interpreting documents.
- Possess working knowledge of AWARDS, CARES, and SORTS systems.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is a valuable asset.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree from an accredited institution with a major in social work or a related field.
- LMSW or LMHC preferred.
