Job Summary

The Project Transportation Engineer will oversee the technical activities for projects of all scales, with an emphasis on the most intricate and complex projects. They will mentor and share technical expertise with team members and be responsible for their ongoing growth and development in technical areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough traffic engineering studies, including traffic impact studies, operational analysis, and safety evaluations to ensure optimal transportation systems.
  • Develop and implement Transportation Demand Management (TDM) plans to optimize transportation systems and reduce congestion.
  • Analyze transportation data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports, presentations, and documentation for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative transportation solutions that meet client needs.
  • Assist in project management tasks, including budgeting, scheduling, and client communication to ensure project success.
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure project success and professional growth.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in traffic engineering, transportation planning, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in traffic analysis tools (e.g., Synchro, VISSIM, HCS) and GIS software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain one is preferred.
