Your Role
We are expanding our Community Development (CD) team and are seeking a motivated Civil Engineering Associate to join our dynamic office. This role will support a diverse range of projects, including land development, transportation, and utility design. As part of our team, you will collaborate with professionals across various disciplines, contributing to impactful projects that enhance community infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
As a Civil Engineering Associate, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing technical assistance to a high-performing engineering team.
- Assisting in the creation of detailed civil engineering design plans, ensuring high quality and timely delivery.
- Preparing site plans, grading plans, utility plans, stormwater management plans, and erosion & sediment control plans.
- Initially working in an office environment to develop skills before transitioning to a more independent remote work setting.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- 2-5 years of relevant professional experience in Civil Engineering or Land Development.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
- Proficiency in Civil3D and familiarity with infrastructure design, including roads, drainage, and water systems.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Technical Skills
Familiarity with various software tools is advantageous, including:
- Hydrologic and hydraulic design software (e.g., FlowMaster, PondPack).
- Microsoft Office Suite and MS Teams.
Work Environment
This position primarily involves office work, with potential fieldwork as required. The role offers a collaborative atmosphere where innovative ideas are encouraged, and professional growth is supported.
