Position: Senior Housing Community Manager
Status: Full-Time (40 hours per week)
Salary Range: $21.00-$24.00

Overview:
Silvercrest Senior Residences play a vital role in providing affordable housing solutions for low-income seniors. Residents contribute only thirty percent of their income towards housing costs, with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) covering the remainder. These community living environments vary in size, offering apartment-style units designed to promote independent living.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement management procedures and tasks as outlined in the Silvercrest Operating Procedures Manual and adhere to Salvation Army policies.
  • Oversee the daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual schedules related to property inspections, preventive maintenance, tenant certifications, vendor management, unit turnover, and property safety.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and security protocols while maintaining the overall appearance of the property.
  • Maintain standard office hours while being available for after-hours emergencies and participating in on-call duties.
  • Keep accurate records of property and resident files, ensuring timely communication with local Salvation Army officers.
  • Foster positive relationships with residents, vendors, and staff, representing The Salvation Army in a professional manner.
  • Perform janitorial duties in common areas, ensuring cleanliness and upkeep of the property.
  • Handle minor maintenance tasks as needed and assist with other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
  • Must reside on-site and be available for on-call emergencies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Intermediate computer skills are preferred, with experience in property management software being a plus.
  • Experience working within the senior community is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of HUD policies related to Section 8 Multi-Family Housing and familiarity with MORs and REAC inspections is preferred.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in affordable housing within the subsidized housing sector is required.
