Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Receptionist to join our team at Lakeside Veterinary Hospital in Houston, Texas. As a Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the veterinary team in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities
  • Answer phone calls and respond to client inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain accurate records, including client and pet information, medical history, and treatment plans.
  • Assist clients with scheduling appointments, provide necessary instructions, and dispense prescription items as directed by the veterinarian.
  • Maintain accurate balances and follow cash and credit card handling procedures.
Requirements
  • Strong communication skills and excellent customer service abilities are essential for this role.
  • You must be able to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating empathy toward clients and treating pets with compassion and respect.
  • Familiarity with veterinary software and standard office equipment is preferred.
  • A flexible schedule, including some weekend and holiday shifts, is required.
