Job Summary

The Health Services Administrator is responsible for overseeing the delivery of healthcare services within a correctional facility. This role involves managing the institution's healthcare budget, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and monitor the preparation of the institutional health services budget
  • Supervise the requisition of supplies and equipment
  • Develop and maintain staff schedules
  • Approve monthly statistical reports
  • Ensure the confidential maintenance and safekeeping of medical records
  • Monitor overall performance and implement corrective action plans
  • Perform administrative employee relations functions
  • Supervise scheduling of patients for outside appointments
  • Resolve audit findings and respond to Corporate Risk Management Department inquiries
Requirements
  • Current West Virginia Registered Nursing License
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Associates degree in a healthcare-related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3 years of experience in a supervisory/leadership role or training in administrative aspects of healthcare preferred
