Job Title: Controls Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to join our team at EAD Management Services Inc. As a Controls Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing control systems for our clients in the food, pharmaceutical, and parcel sectors.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop control systems for PLC/DCS based control systems
  • Perform programming of control systems as required
  • Interface with clients, vendors, and project teams
  • Perform technical design reviews with other disciplines to ensure high-quality results
  • Manage and prioritize tasks to achieve results within cost and schedule constraints
  • Adhere to all EAD's safety standards and practices
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and organizational abilities
  • Knowledge in HMI or SCADA programming and configuration of software packages such as Wonderware, Rockwell, and Siemens
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a valid driver's license
  • Thorough knowledge of A.C. and D.C. electrical theory
  • Experience with electrical control systems, motor controls, VFD's, Servo's, and Rockwell Allen Bradley product line
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to mentor junior level Electrical/Control Engineers
  • Proficient in NEC, NFPA, and UL508A
Preferred Certifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience with automation, electrical controls, and PLC/DCS based control systems
  • Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, ISA, and U.L. codes
Working Conditions:
  • Office, plant, or client site environment
  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods
  • Ability to walk up numerous flights of stairs/ladders multiple times a day
  • May work near moving mechanical parts and equipment
  • Office, Commercial and/or Industrial setting with potential exposure to fumes or airborne particles
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
