Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute routine electrical engineering tasks with a solid understanding of fundamental principles.
  • Apply electrical circuit laws, lighting concepts, and equipment knowledge to practical scenarios.
  • Research, develop, and design various equipment, facilities, and systems for healthcare, commercial, and industrial projects.
  • Focus on electrical systems for building projects, encompassing power systems, lighting, fire alarm, and other signaling systems.
  • Assess system goals and select or design equipment, controls, and communication systems accordingly.
  • Conduct calculations and assessments for equipment and systems in healthcare, industrial, and commercial settings.
  • Prepare detailed plans and specifications supported by calculations and innovative engineering solutions to meet client and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize computer-assisted engineering and design software for project tasks.
  • Demonstrate leadership and excellent communication skills while collaborating with project teams and clients.
  • Contribute to project planning, cost management, scheduling, and business development efforts, including proposal development and technical guidance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Registered Engineer; Tennessee licensure preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as an electrical engineer; 10 years' experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to interact professionally, build relationships, and lead teams.
  • Proficiency in Revit, CAD, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Understanding of electrical engineering principles, practices, and techniques.
  • Familiarity with building materials, construction methods, building codes, and regulations.
  • Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NFPA-70) and other NFPA Codes.
  • Preferred experience in healthcare design/engineering.
  • LEED Accreditation is advantageous.
