We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Supervisor RN to join our team at Sierra Medical Center. As a Clinical Supervisor RN, you will be responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care, assessing current patient care situations, and prioritizing and meeting the needs of our patients.
Responsibilities- Provide direct and indirect patient care as necessary, assessing current patient care situations, priorities, and needs.
- Revised plan of care as indicated by the patient's response to treatment and evaluate overall plan daily for effectiveness.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Hospital policy related to emergency preparedness, fire, hazardous materials and waste, medical equipment, safety, security, and utilities.
- Utilize standard precautions; comply with OSHA standards pursuant to blood borne pathogen, tuberculosis, and hazardous material and waste; comply with infection control policies including isolation precautions and consistent hand hygiene.
- Take an active role in performance improvement teams that may include NPSG, HCAHPS, and core measures or other process improvement activities.
- Attend 75% of department staff meetings.
- Current NV State Registered Nurse License
- Current BLS
- Current ACLS (may be obtained within 6 months of hire)
- PALS certification may be required for specific departments (or must be able to obtain within six-months)
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing required or enrolled in an accredited program within one year of employment or transfer into supervisory role
- A minimum of 3-years recent clinical nursing experience required
- Previous clinical supervisor experience preferred
- Specialty certification preferred
