We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Supervisor Registered Nurse to join our team at Sierra Medical Center in Northwest Reno. As a Clinical Supervisor RN, you will be responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care, assessing current patient care situations, priorities, and needs, and revising the plan of care as indicated by the patient's response to treatment.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct and indirect patient care as necessary, assessing current patient care situations, priorities, and needs.
- Ability to revise plan of care as indicated by the patient's response to treatment and evaluate overall plan daily for effectiveness.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Hospital policy related to emergency preparedness, fire, hazardous materials and waste, medical equipment, safety, security, and utilities, and understand role and expected level of participation.
- Utilize standard precautions, comply with OSHA standards pursuant to blood-borne pathogen, tuberculosis, and hazardous material and waste, and comply with infection control policies, including isolation precautions and consistent hand hygiene.
- Employee takes an active role in performance improvement teams that may include NPSG, HCAHPS, and core measures or other process improvement activities.
- Attend 75% of department staff meetings.
- Current NV State Registered Nurse License.
- Current BLS.
- Current ACLS (may be obtained within 6 months of hire).
- PALS certification may be required for specific departments (or must be able to obtain within six months).
- Bachelor's of Science in Nursing required or enrolled in an accredited program within one year of employment or transfer into supervisory role.
- A minimum of 3 years recent clinical nursing experience required.
- Previous clinical supervisor experience preferred.
- Specialty certification preferred.
