Works alongside the team to enhance guest and employee satisfaction while adhering to the operational budget. Ensures compliance with sanitation and food safety standards. CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED; 4 years of experience in culinary, food and beverage, or a related professional field.
- 2-year degree from an accredited institution in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related discipline; 2 years of experience in culinary, food and beverage, or a related professional field.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Upholding Culinary Standards and Responsibilities
- Creates, designs, or innovates new applications, concepts, relationships, systems, or products, including artistic contributions for the specialty dining venue.
- Supervises kitchen operations during shifts and ensures adherence to all Food & Beverage policies, standards, and procedures.
- Maintains standards for food preparation, handling, and proper storage.
- Recognizes superior quality in products, presentations, and flavors.
- Plans and manages food quantities and plating requirements for the specialty dining venue.
- Communicates production needs to key personnel.
- Assists in developing daily and seasonal menu offerings for the specialty dining venue.
- Ensures compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Follows proper food handling and temperature protocols.
- Estimates daily production needs for the specialty dining venue.
- Prepares and cooks a variety of foods, either regularly or for special guests or events.
- Checks the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure standards are met.
- Determines food presentation methods and creates decorative food displays.

- Supervises and coordinates the activities of cooks and kitchen staff engaged in food preparation.
- Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and motivate others; advocates sound financial and business decision-making; demonstrates integrity and leads by example.
- Leads shift teams while personally preparing food items and fulfilling requests based on required specifications.
- Supervises and manages kitchen staff, overseeing all daily operations and understanding employee roles well enough to perform duties in their absence.
