Job Summary

As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the quality, consistency, and production of our specialty restaurant kitchen. You will exhibit exceptional culinary talents by personally preparing food items and executing requests based on required specifications. Your leadership skills will be essential in managing all food-related functions, including menu planning, purchasing, staffing, and food preparation. You will work closely with the team to improve guest and employee satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget. Ensuring sanitation and food standards are achieved is a top priority.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement menus, purchasing, and staffing plans for the specialty restaurant.
  • Lead and manage a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure exceptional food quality and presentation.
  • Coordinate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including inventory, ordering, and food preparation.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Develop and implement training programs for kitchen staff to improve skills and knowledge.
  • Monitor and control kitchen expenses to meet budget targets.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 4 years of experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related field preferred.
  • 2-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field; 2 years of experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related field preferred.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with experience in kitchen operations and team management.
  • Excellent culinary skills, with knowledge of menu planning, purchasing, and food preparation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with team members and guests.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with attention to detail and ability to multitask.
