Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and have a minimum of one year of relevant experience. This role involves significant public interaction and necessitates outstanding customer service capabilities, along with strong communication skills (both written and verbal), interpersonal skills, and proficiency in computer applications, including familiarity with legal terminology. Proficiency in data entry and word processing is essential, with a typing speed of at least 50 words per minute. A college education is highly regarded.

General Experience

Applicants should have progressively responsible clerical or office experience that demonstrates the ability to acquire the specific knowledge and skills required for this role. Relevant experience may include, but is not limited to, filing, record management, typing, public interaction, and telephone communication.

Educational Substitution: A college degree may be considered in lieu of general experience.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Court Operations: Familiarity with or the capacity to learn about court operations, functions, and organizational structure. A basic understanding of court documents such as orders, appearance bonds, and judgments is beneficial. Ability to utilize the court's automated case management system to retrieve or research necessary information for financial responsibilities.

Information Technology and Automation: Proficiency in using automated systems, including MS Outlook, Word, and Excel, as well as financial and accounting software. The candidate is expected to navigate multiple web-based applications while adhering to privacy and security protocols.

Judgment and Ethics: A consistent demonstration of sound ethics and judgment is essential, along with the ability to maintain confidentiality and security in accordance with the Code of Conduct for Judicial Employees.

Written and Oral Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills are required, with the ability to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) to individuals and groups, providing financial information and reports in a clear and understandable manner. The candidate must interact professionally with a diverse range of stakeholders, delivering exceptional customer service and resolving issues while complying with relevant regulations and procedures.

*Starting salary for this position is competitive, based on experience and qualifications.*
