Job Summary:

The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our clinical services team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote best practices in patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research, technologies, and evidence-based practices in patient care and mental health services.

Requirements:

  • Master's or doctoral degree in a relevant field, such as psychology, social work, or nursing.
  • Current licensure or certification in a relevant field, such as psychology or nursing.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in patient care or mental health services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
