About the Role

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled SUE Field Supervisor to join our team in the Denver, CO area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of multiple field crews, ensuring adherence to AECOM's strict guidelines for safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Field Operations Management: Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple field crews, ensuring efficient and effective project delivery.
  • Schedule Management: Create, maintain, and manage field crew schedules for projects across multiple locations and diverse scopes.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to AECOM's quality standards and procedures, conducting regular audits and inspections to ensure accuracy and completeness of field data.
  • Utility Record Management: Initiate, track, and process utility records requests with various Utility One Call Centers and Utility Owners/Operators.
  • Geophysical Equipment Operations: Utilize advanced geophysical equipment, including Ground Penetrating Radar, to identify, designate, and locate utilities within a requested job scope.
  • Survey Operations: Utilize GPS and Total Station survey equipment to survey utility features and line segments.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot technical problems in the field, utilizing problem-solving skills and expertise to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Communication: Consistently and effectively communicate with field and office staff, as well as Managers and Professionals in Charge, to relay project information and ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Team Leadership: Act as an advisor/mentor to junior field staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their success and growth within the team.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree + 6 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Experience: SUE and/or private utility locating experience equivalent with a demonstrated commitment to quality and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge: Experience and understanding of SUE practices and procedures in accordance with ASCE 38-02 & 38-22.
  • Certifications: OSHA 10/30 Course Completion Certification, First Aid, CPR, or AED training Certification, BAMI/UESI Utility Investigation School Completion Certification.
  • Skills: Proficiency with pipe and cable locators, Ground Penetrating Radar, Surveying best practices, techniques, and equipment, Microsoft 365 suite of applications, ArcGIS suite of services, and hydro/air vacuum excavation trucks and equipment.
