Key Responsibilities- Plan and execute field operations and technical support for SATCOM systems.
- Train and manage contractor sustainment teams to ensure effective system maintenance and repair.
- Analyze and resolve complex technical issues related to SATCOM systems.
- Manage and perform routine, non-routine, and complex maintenance assignments for supported SATCOM systems.
- Manage and provide technical advice, assistance, and maintenance services to military SATCOM operators and their managers.
- Conduct site surveys in support of CONUS or OCONUS exercises and deployments.
- Prepare technical and management documentation and reports.
- Assist in the planning, preparation, and mission engineering of all SATCOM equipment prior to CONUS or OCONUS operations.
- Participate in training exercises and system deployments.
- Ensure Field Operations personnel are deployment-ready.
- Assist engineers with system design, integration, and test activities.
- Implement and ensure adherence to operations, maintenance, and organizational procedures and policies.
- Account for and ensure positive control of critical resources.
- Manage the field operations team schedule and act quickly to assign resources to address mission requirements.
- Manage workplace and personnel safety by identifying and mitigating risks and intervening to prevent mishaps.
- Bachelor's degree plus eight or more years of relevant work experience.
- Five years of relevant space control experience.
- Three years of experience successfully leading a technical team.
- Expertise in SATCOM planning, operations, troubleshooting, repair, and electronics.
- Must be reliable and demonstrate a high standard of personal integrity.
- Must have the ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Strong customer-service skills and a high degree of professionalism.
- U.S. Citizenship and current U.S. passport.
- Candidate must reside in the Colorado Springs, CO area or be willing to relocate to the Colorado Springs, CO area.
- Current Secret clearance and eligibility for a Top Secret/SCI clearance is required.
- Deployed military mobile or tactical SATCOM experience.
- Information Assurance and Risk Management Framework experience.
- Shift work and experience scheduling 24x7 rotating shifts.
- Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.
- Current TS/SCI clearance is preferred.
