Mass General Brigham seeks a Staff Nurse to provide high-quality patient-centered clinical care, training, and research in our growing Division of Infectious Diseases.

About the Role

The Staff Nurse is responsible for ensuring competent nursing care for patients with infectious diseases, including primary care for People Living With HIV/AIDS and specialty care. Collaborating with health care providers, attending physicians, and community-based organizations, the nurse facilitates optimal health outcomes.

This role involves triaging patient needs via phone or in-basket, assessing patient requirements, and performing tasks such as phlebotomy, injections, and IV line placements. The nurse also provides education to patients on HIV antiretrovirals, PrEP/PEP, and antimicrobial therapies, and coordinates medication refills and monitoring.

A key responsibility is case management, which includes working with the NP, Fellow, and/or Attending MD to coordinate and implement comprehensive plans of care. This may involve outreach and follow-up for patients living with HIV, referrals to Community Based Organizations for resources and services, and facilitating access to healthcare delivery systems.

The successful candidate will possess strong assessment and problem-solving skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in an interdisciplinary team environment. Spanish, Portuguese, or Haitian Creole literacy is preferred, along with Microsoft Office and Epic computer literacy.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • MA RN License Required
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program
  • New graduates must have a Bachelor's Degree (BSN)
  • Public Health Nursing experience preferred
  • Ambulatory Care Nursing experience preferred
Salary and Benefits

We offer an estimated salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide medical benefits, dental benefits, vision benefits, life insurance, employee assistance programs, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
