Strategic Business Development Manager for Rare Diseases

About the Role:
">- This is an exciting opportunity to join Alnylam Pharmaceuticals as a Business Account Executive, focusing on commercially representing GIVLAARI and OXLUMO in the United States. The successful candidate will have a significant impact on the lives of patients with Acute Hepatic Porphyria (AHP) and other rare diseases.
Responsibilities:
- Drive physician and patient identification through effective market development and brand awareness strategies within assigned territories.
- Broaden reach by building strong relationships with healthcare professionals, leveraging insights, and optimizing access to academic and community HCPs.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless logistics and medication administration processes are in place.
- Routinely report market dynamics and trends, including prescriber opinions and competitive activity, to Regional Business Directors as required.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree is required; MBA or Science Degree is preferred.
- No less than 5 years of experience in biotech, specialty pharmaceuticals, or medical devices.
- Deep knowledge and success in Gastroenterology, Hepatology, Neurology, Hematology/Oncology, Nephrology, and Urology are highly valued.
- Pediatric Hospital/Institution expertise with pharmacy formulary processes is essential.
- Buy & Bill, Miscellaneous J-code product launch experience, along with government and commercial payer knowledge, is crucial.
- Strong understanding of site-of-care identification, development, and education is necessary.
- Familiarity with relevant legal and regulatory environments in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry is expected.
- Effective communication and listening skills, along with complex case management abilities, are must-haves.
- Overnight travel, including trips to Boston, congresses, and large geographical territories, is a requirement.
- A valid driver's license and residency within the assigned territory are also required.
