Job Overview

Mass General Brigham is seeking an experienced Medical Professional to join our team as a Registered Nurse (RN) in our Short Stay Unit.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on Bigelow 12, a 31-bed telemetry floor that cares for a diverse patient population.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate RN with a medical/surgical background who can provide quality driven, patient-centered care to individuals with an anticipated stay of 24-72 hours.

As a valued member of our comprehensive multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with other professionals and direct support staff and nonprofessional nursing personnel in maintaining recognized standards.

Responsibilities
  • Provides competent, compassionate patient-and family-centered nursing care based on scientific principles and the use of the nursing process and interdisciplinary teamwork.
  • Coordinates involvement of the patient, family and health team members in patient care, including patient/family education, teaching and discharge planning.
  • Documents relevant patient data / information.
  • Communicates the plan of care and other pertinent information to/from other health care team members.
  • Promotes continuity of care through effective hand-offs.
  • Helps define standards of excellence for patient care; participates in improvement of patient care services in a cost-effective way.
  • Performs specific functions as described in the unit Scope of Service.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 1 year RN experience required.
  • A medical/surgical background preferred.
  • BLS preferred.
