Business Development:
  • Develop new business relationships with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by offering various banking products, including loans, trade finance, foreign exchange, deposits, and others.
  • Contribute to the division by increasing profits and customer base through new business development.
  • Coordinate with Head Office to gather information on new companies starting business in the US and research existing companies doing business in the US to explore new business opportunities.
Business Promotion:
  • Expand business with existing customers by offering various banking products, including loans, trade finance, foreign exchange, deposits, and others.
  • Contribute to the division by increasing profit through business promotion.
  • Coordinate with Head Office to gather information on customers' business development within the US.
Relationship Management:
  • Develop good relationships with prospective customers.
  • Maintain good relationships with existing customers through regular communication.
  • Gather information on customers' business and industry.
  • Meet customers' requirements by answering transaction-related questions and help troubleshoot.
  • Support customers by providing finance-related information.
Risk Management:
  • Analyze credit worthiness of credit-related customers and create reports as necessary.
  • Gather KYC-related documents and assign KYC risk rating to customers.
  • Monitor risk rating on a regular basis and clarify and resolve compliance-related issues regarding customers' transactions.
Administrative Duties:
  • Maintain and update customer files.
  • Perform other administrative duties as deemed necessary by the DGM or GM.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of financial products, thorough understanding of credit policies and procedures, and working knowledge of regulations specific to banks.
  • Good knowledge of financial products.
  • Excellent analytical skills to analyze financial issues and develop/coordinate appropriate solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Japanese.
  • Excellent organization and planning skills to plan, organize, and handle multiple concurrent transactions/projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent team orientation with the ability to understand the perspective and priorities of others and develop/maintain relationships with all appropriate departments/divisions of the firm.
  • Flexibility to work variable hours due to the workflow.
  • Bilingual (English and Japanese).
Compensation:
The expected base salary ranges from $62,000 to $115,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
