Job Summary
The Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) performs radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures at Marshall Medical Center. This role involves conducting exams in various medical units, utilizing fixed and portable imaging equipment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent patient care skills, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients in their care. Additionally, they will be responsible for maintaining the quality control of imaging equipment and radiation safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and advanced imaging exams on outpatients, inpatients, and ED patients
- Conduct patient care assessments and provide necessary care duties to ensure patient safety
- Ensure the quality control of imaging equipment and radiation safety protocols
Requirements
- Current California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) licensure required
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) licensure strongly preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Current CA Fluoroscopy license required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire
- Venipuncture certification strongly preferred
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or Completion Certificate from a Radiological Technology Program required
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to physically lift, maneuver, and/or manipulate patients and equipment
- Manual dexterity to operate equipment controls and switches
- Demonstrated ability to work and remain calm under stressful conditions
