Position Overview

The Electrical Engineer will focus on the development of electronic systems for automotive exterior lighting applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, characterize, optimize, validate, and launch electronic products for automotive lighting.
  • Create electronic schematics and quotes for new projects.
  • Establish specifications for LED lighting, wiring harnesses, stepper motors, and communication protocols (such as LIN and CAN).
  • Enhance knowledge of the latest lighting technologies and automotive regulations. Promote the reuse of effective designs and provide internal electronic support to manufacturing and engineering teams.
  • Engage with OEM customers through presentations, design reviews, and correspondence.

Qualifications

  • In-depth understanding of DFMEAs, DVP&Rs, reliability standards, and quality design validation.
  • Proficient in cost-effective electronic design, circuit simulation, and design tools such as Pspice and Altium. Experience with switching power supplies and LED design is essential.
  • Conduct Worst Case Circuit Analysis using MathCAD or similar tools.
  • Expertise in EMC circuit design and testing for automotive applications.
  • Experience in embedded microcontroller design using C or C++, with knowledge of CAN and/or LIN programming being advantageous.
  • Familiarity with electronics design for manufacturability.
  • Strong self-leadership skills with attention to detail, capable of multitasking and prioritizing in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in project management, overseeing multiple projects while integrating OEM requirements into design.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
