Our clientele includes major vehicle manufacturers, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and participants from the international motorsport arena.

Our expertise spans a wide array of automotive testing facilities, such as climatic and driveability wind tunnels, aerodynamic and acoustic testing environments, emissions testing rooms, soak chambers, altitude simulation chambers, engine and powertrain testing cells, and electromagnetic anechoic chambers. We not only design and construct these facility systems but also manage, operate, and maintain them.


Position Overview:

The Allen Park Emission Laboratory (APTL) is looking for a skilled individual with experience in analytical and sampling system repairs. The selected candidate will be tasked with performing preventive maintenance, quality control, and unscheduled repairs of emission systems within the APTL laboratory. Experience with dynamometer/chassis testing and/or analytical & sampling system repairs is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of Test Site
  • Conduct regular Preventive Maintenance and Site Repairs
  • Assist with vendor support as needed
  • Manage inventory of consumables and spare parts
  • Maintain a daily log of site status
  • Support a three-shift operation
  • Assist in power-train emissions development, U.S. Certification, Homologation, and Vehicle Engineering problem resolution
  • Contribute to the development of new equipment and testing methodologies to meet evolving emissions and fuel economy standards
  • Undertake additional tasks as required to achieve corporate goals
  • Collaborate across multiple laboratories as necessary

This is a full-time role, offering benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 14 paid holidays, and 17 days of paid time off. Additionally, we provide $5,000 annually for tuition reimbursement. All necessary tools and personal protective equipment are supplied.

Qualifications:

Basic Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in emission laboratory maintenance and site repair
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of basic chemistry principles
  • Demonstrated experience in data analysis
  • Familiarity with analytical & sampling systems
  • Knowledge of diesel testing processes
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve system issues
  • Proven experience in power-train systems

  • Adaptability to changing requirements

  • Standard work hours: 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, Monday-Friday. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential. Flexibility in workdays is necessary to accommodate weekend testing.

Additional Essential Functions:

  • Must pass PMHV Physical. Completion of a pre-employment drug screen, health performance evaluation, and background check is required.
