KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the guidance of the Site Supervisor and Head Teacher, the Classroom Aide plays a crucial role in fostering a supportive and stimulating classroom atmosphere. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the planning and execution of educational activities as directed by the Teacher.
  • Managing daily classroom operations and ensuring a conducive learning environment.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma is required; candidates must be willing to pursue Family Service Worker certification upon hiring.
  • Additional qualifications may include:
    • CDA credential or equivalent state-awarded certification.
    • Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education from an accredited institution.
    • Enrollment in a program leading to an Associate or Bachelor's degree.
    • Enrollment in a CDA credential program to be completed within two years of hiring.

EXPERIENCE

  • Prior experience in a childcare setting is preferred but not mandatory.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required upon hiring.
  • Must meet qualifications as indicated by the PATCH registry.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • A valid driver's license and a clear driving record are necessary for this position.
  • Employment is contingent upon passing a criminal background check.
