Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will deliver essential ground support services to clients in a courteous and professional manner. Your duties will encompass all aspects of ground handling operations, including but not limited to:
- Aircraft fueling and defueling
- Baggage and cargo management
- Aircraft towing
- Utilizing marshalling signals for aircraft parking
- Providing lavatory and potable water services
- Operating various ground support equipment to meet customer and aircraft needs
Compensation and Commitment
The starting pay for this position ranges from $25 to $27 per hour. This role requires flexibility for all shifts, including overtime, weekends, holidays, and on-call duties.
Applicants must be residents of Hawaii and at least 21 years old at the time of application.
No CDL? No Problem Atlantic Aviation offers a comprehensive CDL Training Program to help you launch your career. We will cover the costs of your CDL training and licensing fees upfront, in exchange for a one-year employment commitment.
Essential Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- A valid state driver's license is required; in some locations, a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with endorsements may be necessary based on local regulations.
Physical Requirements
Candidates should be comfortable and physically capable of working in an environment that involves frequent walking, stretching, bending, sitting, stooping, reaching, grasping, and climbing. Regular heavy lifting of up to 50 lbs is expected.
Additional Skills
- Ability to pass background checks (criminal and motor vehicle), drug tests, and maintain airport security badge issuance.
- Proficient in using computers and email, including completing computer-based training modules.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, especially for safety-sensitive tasks.
- Basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, fractions, angles, degrees, time).
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including night, holiday, and weekend shifts, in various weather conditions.
Preferred Experience
Six months of experience or training in aviation, customer service, or a related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
We maintain a drug-free workplace and conduct pre-employment substance testing.
